James Edward Clark (AKA Eddie, Jim Edd, and Grandpa Dude) was born on January 3, 1948, in West (by God) Virginia. He was adopted by Andrew Clark & Edna Rainey.

“Dude” passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 76.

Eddie grew up in New Cumberland, WBGV. After graduating high school, He worked in a steel mill for a short time until He was drafted into the Army in 1968, serving until 1972. During that time, he was married to Marcia Gunn (m. 1969-1987) They lived in Holland while He served in the Army, later settling in Southern CA where they started a family. Jim Edd pursued a degree in wildlife management.

While in CA Jim Edd ultimately worked for Rockwell International, where He made many lifelong friends. Jim Edd moved his family to Longmont, CO in 1984. After his divorce, He & Sharon Kavanaugh (m. 1993-2019) co-parented with Marcia to raise their “Village”.

Jim Edd worked at Rocky Flats in Golden, eventually retiring from a career at US West.

During retirement Dude enjoyed spending his time with family, grandkids, hunting & fishing buddies, and growing his home-grown tomatoes. He loved taking family & friends for boat rides and enjoying the rodeo at Cheyenne Frontier Days. While watching his grandkid’s athletic games you would hear him yell “Kansas ball”, “pick six”, and “score”!!

He is survived by his children: Kevin (Amanda) Clark of Broomfield, Kami (Dusty) Gray of Berthoud, grandchildren Kora Clark, Zander & Willow Gray, nephew Jeff Whitt, and niece Lisa Drake (& their families).

He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew & Edna Clark, and brother & sister-in-law Ronnie & Arlene Whitt.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.
