OBITUARY: Jill Dailey

Jill M. Mays Taranovich Dailey of East Liverpool, after suffering the devastating effects of cancer, passed at her home while in the passionate care of her family. She passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She was 64 years old.

She was born in East Liverpool on May 21, 1959. She was the daughter of the late Roderick N. Mays Sr and Violet Davis Mays. Jill had worked at National Church Supply in Chester for ten years before starting her own successful business, Dailey Screen Printing and Embroidery, which she operated for 32 years. She attended the Church of Christ Disciples, and she was a 1977 graduate of Beaver Local School. Jill was a simple woman, and she enjoyed the simple things in life, beautiful sunsets, sun, beach life, sitting on her porch, and baking, all made special with her family’s presence.

Saddened by her loss are her children, Charles “Chuck” (Victoria Anderson) Tarnovich, and Darren (Hannah Scott) Dailey, both of Wellsville; the father of her children whom she remained close to, David D. Dailey Jr of East Liverpool; a very special grandson, Kase Stansell; and her lifelong friend since childhood, Stephanie Stanar-Checkler of Columbus, OH.

Jill’s family is extremely grateful for the care provided by the Wound Center at East Liverpool Hospital and the Hospice of the Valley staff for their compassionate care. No services are planned, and she is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
