STATE SENATE RACE – DISTRICT 1

TWO REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES ARE VYING FOR DISTRICT 1 STATE SENATE RACE: INCUMBENT STATE SENATOR RYAN WELD IS BEING CHALLENGED BY SCOTT ADAMS. BOTH ARE REPUBLICAN

SCOTT ADAMS

I was born and raised in Wellsburg. My father is a Viet Nam veteran and a retired steelworker. My Mom took care of me and my two brothers. I have been married to my wife, Angel, for 30 years this year. We have three children: Abbey, Mac and Ben. I am a retired WV State Trooper and spent 10 years in Ritchie County and the remainder in Wheeling as first, Detachment Commander and then on the newly formed WVSP Crimes Against Children Unit. I investigated hundreds of the most heinous crimes against children. During my time at the State Police, I was also in the U.S. Army Reserves. My unit was deployed to Iraq in December 2002.

I am a man of faith and will make every decision as a WV State Senator with God’s will in mind. I believe I am the best candidate in this race, not only because of my background, but I will truly represent the values and concerns of the people of the Northern Panhandle.
