Stanley Williams, 91 of New Cumberland passed away at Continuing Care in Lisbon on Saturday, May 11, 2024, following a lengthy illness.
Stanley was a simple man with an impeccable love of family and his Lord and Savior. He possessed immense values and morals. His enjoyment came from the company of his grandchildren, relaxing on his front porch, watching John Wayne movies, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pirates. Stanley had an appreciation for nature, especially hunting and fishing. After 36 years, he retired from the maintenance department at Weirton Steel where he was a member of the twenty-five-year club. Also, he graduated from Weir High.
He was born in Wetzel County West Virginia on November 3, 1932, to the late William Williams, and Minnie Jackson Williams.
Saddened by his loss, but rejoicing with his reunion with God are his wife, Peggy Ann Yost Williams who he married on November 14, 1954; his daughters, Susan (Randy) Beagle of New Manchester, and Laura Williams of New Port Ritchie, FL; his son, Richard Williams of New Cumberland; and his sister, Loretta McAleer of Calcutta. Most precious are his seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
His mother, father, brothers, Shirld, and Charles, and sister Virginia Whitehill preceded him in death.
