On May 20, the John D. Rockefeller Career Center held the 2024 Awards Ceremony, which recognizes all of our program completers and their accomplishments. Awards night began with a welcome and introductions by the master of ceremonies, Mrs. Kristin Bissett, who serves as the Director of Secondary, Career, and Adult Education.

SkillsUSA:
Students have the opportunity to participate in the SkillsUSA organization and to compete at the state, and sometimes, National level. The following students worked countless hours preparing for competition and represented our county very well at competition this year.

Governor’s Workforce Credential
To achieve this award, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better; secure a minimum of one state-approved industry certification; meet the Governor’s Workforce Credential cut score on their program of study’s NOCTI test; achieve a minimum of 95% on the CTE portfolio; maintain a verified attendance rate of 95% in the senior year; and pass a minimum of 2 volunteer drug screenings during the senior year.
