Rosa Lee Zubay, 73, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, of East Liverpool, passed away at her residence, on Monday, June 10, 2024, following a lengthy illness.
Born January 30, 1951, in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Eva DeBee McCuen.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Timothy Walton, and sister, Lois Jean Gibbs.
Rosa Lee was a graduate of Oak Glen High School Class of 1968. She dedicated 37 years at Mountaineer Casino and Racetrack as a Mutual Clerk.
Rosa Lee had an infectious laugh that could light up the entire room. She loved to cook for her family and spend time with them. Among the many wonderful ways, she made her family feel loved, one of the best was how she made every Christmas special for the whole family.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Anthony Zubay; whom she married on July 6, 1985. Rosa will also be missed by her sons, Anthony Zubay Jr. of Salem, Brian Zubay of Wellsville, and Cody Zubay of Chester; sister, Kathy Flesch (Jeff) of Newell; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Father Leo Wehrlin of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish will celebrate Rosa Lee’s life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Family will be present at the funeral home, from 11:00 a.m.-1p.m, when family and friends will be received. The interment will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
