Another Riverfest weekend has come and gone. Soon, Hometown News will get a letter thanking all those who helped make the weekend a reality from the Committee. But, we wanted to do a thank you to the Committee for all the hard work throughout the year to make Riverfest happen. It may be an event that happens in the Fall, but the Fairs & Festival Committee meets year round to make these events special.
It’s quite spectacular that a small town with a population of less than 1,000 can orchestrate such an event. Now in its 16th year, I salute the citizen who realized that the beauty of the Ohio River was the perfect place to hold the event. The Riverfest has become a homecoming weekend for our town where we take a moment, forget our problems, and appreciate how very lucky we are to live in our hometown,
