It is with heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Curtis Mark Duncan Sr of Salineville, OH on Friday Nov.29. Mark was born in East Liverpool, OH on March 11th in 1961 and was raised in New Cumberland, WV. His lifelong love of hunting, fishing and camping began at a young age, and gave him a lifetime of enjoyment. He could often be found tinkering on some project, whether it was a lawnmower, a truck or a house. He had a long career working with race horses in WV and PA. with the bulk of this time spent in WV working at Mountaineer for some of the top owners in the paddock. He passed much of his love of the outdoors and horses down to his sons, Curtis Mark Duncan Sr and Travis Edward Duncan. Much of their early lives was also spent hunting, fishing, camping and also working with horses. Curtis Duncan Jr went on to also have a career working with horses for several different owners between WV and PA, before he eventually became an owner of a race winner himself. Travis took to the outdoors and dove into the many hunting and fishing opportunities, developing a passion for hunting and fishing to match his father. Sadly, both Travis and Curtis preceded him up the path of life. Travis fought a long battle with diabetes that took him in 2022. Curtis Jr was taken in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2023. Our hearts are broken for his wife surviving at home, Peggy Duncan. They married in 1981 and have traveled this world together ever since. Mark always had a smile and a joke when he would greet you, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Violet Marie Six and his Father, Carlton Otis Six. As well as both of his Sons, Curtis Mark Duncan Jr and Travis Edward Duncan. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Duncan and their fur babies Reese and Min Min. His Brother, Robert Wayne Duncan of State College, PA. His Sister, Virginia Hatfield and her husband Les of Chester, WV. His Brother, Brett Six and his wife Kelly of Wellsville, OH. His Sister, Robin Brookes and her husband Mark of Newell, WV and a Sister-in-law, Penny Wagner of Salineville, OH. Also surviving is a Granddaughter, Taylor Marie Duncan. There are many loved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and so many extended family that he loved to joke with to get a smile. There are no formal services planned, as we will all celebrate his life in our own way. We ask for prayers and love as we heal from this loss.as born in East Liverpool, OH on March 11th in 1961 and was raised in New Cumberland, WV.
