CHANGE, Inc. is proud to announce that provider Page Hardsouk, NP has achieved certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) for Pediatric and Adolescent care. This critical certification ensures that our Comfort House Child Advocacy Center is fully trained and qualified to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and trauma-informed care for children and adolescents who have experienced sexual assault.
The SANE-Pediatric/Adolescent certification is awarded to nurses who undergo extensive training and assessment to specialize in providing medical forensic examinations for young survivors of sexual violence. These nurses are equipped with the skills necessary to collect evidence, offer immediate care, and ensure that young survivors receive both medical and emotional support in a safe and empathetic environment.
“Becoming a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for pediatric and adolescent patients is an important step in our ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of care to vulnerable populations,” said Lisa Mowry, CEO of CHANGE, Inc. “With this certification, our provider is now trained to handle cases with the sensitivity and expertise required to help young survivors navigate this traumatic experience with dignity, compassion, and support every step of the way.”
This certification ensures that CHANGE, Inc.’s Comfort House Child Advocacy Center adheres to the best practices for forensic evidence collection and provides specialized care for young victims of sexual violence. By offering a trained, trauma-informed approach, Comfort House Child Advocacy Center plays a crucial role in helping victims of sexual assault find a path toward healing while contributing to a comprehensive justice system response.
