Albert L. Wright Jr., President and CEO of West Virginia University (WVU) Health System, and John Frankovitch, President and CEO of Weirton Medical Center, signed official papers Friday. Their signatures marked the final step making Weirton Medical Center a full member of the WVU Health System, effective January 1, 2025. A more formal event to celebrate WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center is scheduled for late January.
