Nurse Practitioner Jeanne Cox and Jim Gillespie, both with the New Cumberland Lions Club, provided a diabetes information clinic on Saturday, January 18, at the Davis Pharmacy in New Cumberland. Fifteen people were provided with finger stick glucose testing, which entered them to win a glucometer that was donated by Pharmacist Jeff Davis, also with the New Cumberland Lions Club. Information was also provided on exercise, eating healthy, and diabetes. Lions, with the support of Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), are working to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve the lives of those living with the disease.
