With one week left in the period for candidates for New Cumberland City Council and Mayor, only two candidates have filed. Mayor Will White and Councilwoman JoEllen Kessel have filed for re-election. The filing period ends Feb. 1st for the May 13, 2025 election. No candidate has filed for an open seat in Ward I while two seats remain open in Ward II. In order to be eligible to run, the candidate must be a registered voter and reside within the incorporated limits of New Cumberland.
