On Saturday, March 30th, 2025, and Sunday March 31st, 2025,
the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office received calls of automobile
break ins in the Newell, Hancock County, WV area. These
vehicles were unlocked, and multiple items were removed
during the early morning hours. Through investigation and the
assistance of the victims the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office
performed a search warrant on Monday, March 31st, 2025, at
534 Grant Street, Newell, WV. While executing this search
warrant multiple stolen items from these vehicles break ins were
recovered and two subjects were arrested for the crimes.
Kierstin Deroksy (28 years of age) was charged with 2 counts of
breaking and entering an automobile and 1 count of possession
of a controlled substance. Nevin Householder (29 years of age)
was charged with 2 counts of entering an automobile, 1 count of
possession of a controlled substance, and a fugitive of justice
warrant out of Jefferson County, Ohio. The Hancock County
Sheriff’s Office still has charges pending on another female
subject involved in this incident. The Hancock County Sheriff’s
