The New Cumberland Cemetery’s Avenue of Flags was on display bright and early on Memorial Day thanks to a group of volunteers who worked to put the more than 250 flags in the ground. Each of the flags has a veteran’s name on it in memory of their service to their country. A large crowd attended the services at the cemetery. A Memorial Day parade was held in the afternoon with festivities after the parade featuring a band at the VFW, inflatable play items at the Park and a market at the New Cumberland Fire Station.
