The 65th high school reunion of the former Wells High School in Newell was held on Saturday, May 24th, at the Gatsby Restaurant at Mountaineer Casino Resort. There were 9 who attended of the 37 who graduated in 1960. There were 5 spouses and guests also present. A memory table was set up for the 15 classmates who are deceased. Mr. Harold D. Gregory of Chester was principal of Wells High School and passed away in April of 1960. Mr. Russell Slack was promoted to principal for the end of that school year and remained principal until the school was moved and became part of Oak Glen High School. Mr. Slack still resides in Chester. Classmates traveled from as far away as Florida to attend the reunion. Anna Mae Monroe Ogden organized the reunion.
