The City of New Cumberland has an open Council seat in Ward II. Anne Blankenship, who held the seat, did not run for re-election nor did anyone file. To be eligible, candidates must be residents of Ward II, which begins at Smith Oil, includes Sedgewick Street and extends to the southern end of town. Council members now make $200/month due to a raise passed by the previous Council.
