The Hancock County Commission joined other WV counties in issuing a proclamation making the month of September 2025 National Recovery Month, West Virginia Goes Purple for the Hope Dealer Project. A contribution of $2,500.00 was made toward the project.
**The Commission received a request from the Rt.2/I 68 Authority requesting an annual contribution of $4,000.00 for FY 2025-2026. The Commission voted to make the request a matter of record;
**Annual Operation Report for the Report Year April 2024 to April 2025 on the Little Blue Run Disposal Impoundment was received by the Commission and was made a matter of record.
**Correspondence from the City of New Cumberland informing the Commissioners that the City will hold a public hearing on an ordinance increasing sewage rates was heard.. The final vote on the adoption of the ordinance will be held in Council Chambers at 5 p.m., Aug. 4, 2025. Interested parties may appear and be heard at such time with respect to the passage of the proposed ordinance. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Office of the Clerk, New Cumberland City Building.
**A professional service agreement was approved with three+one, Cash Vest liquidity and treasury analysis;
**An award of the Records Management and Preservation Board grant of $14,934.00 was received to provide improvement for the office of the Hancock County Clerk;
Approved hiring Payton McCardel for Deputy Clerk to fill the current vacancy in the Circuit Clerk’s office.
Approved the payment of general county bills of $188,442.31 for the general fund and $39,228.80 for the purchasing card.
