WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center was honored to welcome the new President of West Virginia University, Michael T. Benson, for a special visit as part of his Welcome Home Tour.
Benson’s visit provided an opportunity to discuss the hospital’s mission, highlight its ongoing initiatives, and showcase the essential role Weirton Medical Center plays in supporting the health and well-being of the community.
“It was a pleasure to host President Benson and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of healthcare and education in our region,” said David Artman, CEO and president. “His visit underscores the strong and growing partnership between West Virginia University and WVU Medicine.”
After an afternoon of collaboration, shared vision, and community commitment, Benson concluded the day with a reception at Oglebay Resort.
