Sonya Lynn Rocchio, 61, of New Cumberland, passed away Monday August 25, 2025. She was born on February 19, 1964 in Weirton, a daughter of Darlene (Pickering) Stevens of Weirton and the Late Charles Stevens. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Simpson, a sister, Georgia Parr, a brother, John Stevens and her companion, Tom Schneider.
She is survived by two daughters, April (Mike) Simpson and Candice Tingler (Dustin Blair); a son, Josh (Crystal) Rocchio and five grandchildren, Lexus, Hunter, Carter, Cooper and Chase. She is also survived by four sisters, Penny Pickering, Brenda (Dan) Cuic, Pam Barnhart and Charlene Harvey, a brother, Chuck (Helen) Stevens.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 2 pm till time of service at 4 pm.
