Lucas Zoellers is the September 2025 Lions Club Scholar of the Month.
Lucas is the son of Grover and Julie Zoellers of New Cumberland. He is a 3-year letterman in football and a 3-year letterman in baseball. In 2023 he was awarded Oak Glen football’s Spirit of the Bear award. In 2025, week 1 of the football season, Lucas was awarded the Defelice Scholar of the Week. For the last two years, Lucas has attended the John D. Rockefeller Career Center for Carpentry. In 2024 he, along with his team mate Sam Jenkins, won the Gold Medal in the Skills USA state competition in Fairmont in the category of Entry Level Carpentry. Lucas is also a member of the National Honor Society and the prom committee. Outside school and sports, Lucas likes to ride side-by-sides, create items on his 3D printer, and hunt. After graduation Lucas plans to attend a technical school to pursue a degree to become an information technical specialist.
