OBITUARY: William Robb

William (Bill) C. Robb, age 91, departed this world gently, enveloped by the warmth and love of his devoted wife, cherished daughters, and his loving family on February 12, 2026, as the winter sun set softly, marking the close of a life richly lived.
Bill was blessed with 4 daughters, Robin Goots (Paul) of Beckley, WV, Betsy Kuzio of Cincinnati, OH, Cathy Markowicz (Don) of New Cumberland, WV, and Susan Myers (Rick) of New Cumberland, WV. 8 granddaughters, Amanda (Erik) Daniels, Miranda Sitchanoff (Ted), Aimee (Ashton) Nelson, Leah (Brock) Estell, Mallory Markowicz, and Haylianne (Matt) Murray, Anastasia (Mason) Bennett, Lacey (Andrew) Malekovic, and 13 great-grandchildren, Kelty, Kaiya, Dean, Elle, Lucca, Elias, Nicco, Wyatt, Isaac, Oliver, Madison, Max, and Macy Jo.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence and Mary Robb, and 2 sisters Betty Jane Rector and Dorothy Patrick.
Bill dedicated 37 years to the Weirton Steel Coke Plant, where he led with steady hands and a spirit of camaraderie, both as a supervisor and in Operations Services. He served as Chief Deputy Sheriff of Hancock County from 1968 to 1972 and as a member and President of the Hancock County Civil Service Commission for Deputy Sheriffs.
Bill was a pillar of the New Manchester V.F.D., serving as both President and Captain, guiding his fellow volunteers with courage and compassion
and a member and deacon of the New Manchester Christian Church.
He was a member and past Master of New Cumberland Lodge #22 of Masons A.F.A.M., a member of the New Cumberland Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, and Weirton Commander of Knight Templars. Bill was also a member of the Osiris Shrine of Wheeling and Northern Shrine Club.
Visitations are Sunday, Feb 15, 12-2 and 4-6, Monday, Feb 16, 2-4 and 6-8 at Arner Funeral Chapel, Chester, WV. Services on Tuesday, 1 pm, and grave site services at Union Cemetery in New Manchester, WV.
