The Fidelis Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Organization for Women Educators met at Eat ‘n Park in Weirton, WV., on March 5, 2026 with 11 members present. President Susan Cullinan welcomed the members, and Liz Pugh, standing in for Elaine McClung, shared an inspirational reading entitled, “The Poser of Words.” Secretary Ruth Fuller read the minutes from the December Tri-Chapter Dinner/ meeting. Treasurer Carolyn Allison gave the financial report. Patty Ferris, standing in for Chairman Margo Polk, read the altruistic report. Members are asked to bring in coloring books, crayons, and colored pencils to be donated to the Pediatric Unit at WVU Medicine and schools. By-Laws Chairman Donna Durkin led discussion on this area. A committee was formed to gather additional information to be presented at the April meeting. Under Courtesy, Carolyn Allison and Ruth Fuller greeted each member as they entered the meeting area. Under Fraternity Education, Eileen Snyder, Carolyn Allison, and Ruth Fuller led a question-and- answersession with prizes presented to the winners. Scholarship Chairman Liz Pugh delivered forms to the Brooke High School students in February, then forms will be collected, and a scholarship winner will be named. A nominating committee, President Cullinan and Ruth Fuller, will create a new slate of officers to be presented and voted on at the April 2, 2026, meeting. The new officers will be installed at the May meeting, and the officers will take charge at the June meeting. President Cullinan reminded the members of the WV State Alpha Delta Kappa Convention which will be held at Pipestem, WV, April 24-26, 2026. Corresponding Secretary Eileen Snyder reported that she had sent cards as needed. Under unfinished business, President Cullinan thanked all the members for their hard work on the Tri-chapter Christmas Party held at Neo’s in December 2025. Hostesses for the meeting were Carolyn Allison, Ruth Fuller, and Eileen Snyder. The next meeting will be April 2, 2026.
