The Alpha Tau chapter (WV) of Alpha Delta Kappa, International Honorary Organization for Women Educators held its March meeting at the Swaney Memorial Library in New Cumberland. Michelle Lewis, President-Elect, called the meeting to order.
The Thought for the Day was given by Chaplain Kathy Griffith. Roll call was taken by Secretary Mary Lou Martindill and minutes were approved as distributed. Treasurer Velda Icard gave the financial report. Officer and committee reports were also given.
Lewis reminded members to bring their change and raffle collections for the scholarship fund to the April meeting. She also announced that the WV Alpha Delta Kappa state convention will be held April 24-26 at Pipestem State Park.
Velda Icard provided a wellness program on simple ways to de-stress and pamper yourself.
The April meeting will include the installation of officers and induction of new members.
