New Cumberland Receives Unique West Virginia Sign

The “great reveal” of a sign made in the shape of West Virginia was held Thursday, April 23. The signs were the brainchild of 1st District Senator Laura Wakim Chapman who will have distributed 6 throughout the State. Wakim Chapman said she selected New Cumberland to receive on based on the view overlooking the Ohio River at the intersection of Madison and Jefferson Streets and the fact that the small town has a lot of love in it.

The signs which are comprised of steel fabrication were made by Warwood Tool & Die.

Mayor Will White, City Council and Rachael Keeney of the Top of WV CVB were on hand to witness the unveiling. White thanked Wakim Chapman for her efforts in obtaining the sign for New Cumberland.
