Hancock County School students participating in a variety of extra-curricular activities were recognized by the Hancock Board of Education at Monday’s meeting,
A performance by Weir High students involved in the Mamma Mia production was enjoyed by those in attendance. The show will run Thursday thu Sunday.
Principals Tony Hartung of ATA Elementary and Cindy Yeater at New Manchester gave a presentation on the academic progress made by their respective schools.
Students from both Oak Glen and Weir High who volunteered to perform income taxes to the community were recognized.
Future Business Leaders of America were recognized in their field of emphasis.

**Debbie Masters was approved for retirement;
**Leaves of absences were not approved for Collin Fitch, unpaid days were not approved for Melinda Gruda;
**Leave of absence was extended for Brian Sweeney;
**Unpaid leave of absence was approved for Julia Macaluso, counselor, Oak Glen High;
**Unpaid days were approved for Melissa Warzyankil

**Chelsea Zilk was approved as a substitute bus driver – countywide;
**Daytrips for students were approved for the Region I Band Festival, Double B Stables Field Trip; Highland Sports Complex and Plaza/Hanover Park;
**Overnight trips were approved for Spark WV Business Pitch Competition; WHS Boys/Girls Regional Tennis; OGHS Girls Tennis Regionals; OGHS JV BChampionships;
**Vendor approval of Outdoor Escapes Co. for playground equipment at New Manchester – quoted amount: $26,736.00
