Residents of New Cumberland have the opportunity to see the progress the alternative route to Route 2 is making on a daily basis. No longer a picture in our mind’s eye, we now can see the path the road will take.
According to Brian Kucish, P.E.D6, District Engineer Office, no section of the New Cumberland Roadway project is complete.
“The contractor started this project about a month ago, so it is in the very early stages,” said Kucish.
“To my knowledge, no problems have been encountered to this point.”
Kusich responded to a rumor that there were additional houses that would require purchasing for the project by saying he was unaware of any additional houses.
