Marjorie L. Kidder, a lifelong resident of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully at Continuing Care in Lisbon on Friday, May 15, 2026, after courageously facing a nine-year illness.
Born on June 20, 1950, in East Liverpool, Marjorie was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas J. and Eva L. McAdoo Kidder. She was 75 years old at the time of her passing.
Marjorie dedicated many years of hard work as a press operator at Ventra Plastics in Salem. Earlier in her career, she worked at Wetzel’s Dry Cleaners and the Oglivie Department Store in East Liverpool. She cherished being part of a close-knit family and was known for her devotion to her loved ones. Marjorie served as a past president of the American Legion Post 374 Auxiliary and was proud of her Presbyterian faith. A graduate of East Liverpool High School’s Class of 1969, she also found great joy in playing Bingo and spending time with family and friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by her siblings, Debbie (Richard) Whittington of Salem, Cynthia Mayers of East Liverpool, and Jeff (Sharon) Kidder of East Liverpool. Marjorie was a devoted and loving aunt to Jason Whittington, Kristen (Jeff) Doolin, Lalena (Jeff) Klingman, Rusty Hughes, Sara Hughes, and Jeremy Hamilton, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Mark Kidder, as well as her parents.
Family and friends will gather at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester to celebrate Marjorie’s life on Wednesday, May 20, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m.
