STEVE SVOKAS
To the citizens of Hancock County: My name is Steve Svokas and I am the current Division 3 Hancock County Magistrate. I am a life long resident of Hancock County and I love to hunt and fish with family and friends. I graduated from Weir High School in 1995 and then furthered my education at West Liberty University where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I then did an internship working with the United States Probation Office out of Wheeling,WV and a brief time later I was appointed to the West Virginia Parole Board. I remained on the board for over 11 years and was appointed and reappointed by 3 different Governor’s of our beautiful state. If elected to remain in this position I will continue to be fair and just as well as a hard working magistrate judge, I sincerely thank you for any consideration on May 14.
