An order issued Thursday has cancelled the hearing scheduled for Tomlinson PSD and Fiesta Tableware. The Newell Company, a privately owned water company had itself declared a “distressed” company and asked that the PSD order Tomlinson to take over the company. Tomlinson was ordered to take over the company and now Fiesta Tableware, the largest customer of the Newell company is protesting the rates it is being charged for non-potable water.
The procedural order, issued by Chief Administrative Law Judge Keith George cancels the hearing set for June 24, 2025 to have time to negotiate a proper rate for the complainant, Fiesta Tableware.
