The Fidelis Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Organization for Women Educators met at Eat ‘n Park in Weirton, WV, on October 2, 2025, with 14 members and one guest. Ruth Fuller introduced her guest, cousin Nancy Zachewitz. President Susan Cullinan welcomed the members. She opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag. Chaplain Elaine McClung read an inspirational reading titled, “Gifts”, and gave a prayer and a blessing for the meal. The September minutes were read by Ruth Fuller (standing in for Margo Polk). Minutes were approved. In the absence of Treasurer Carolyn Allison, President Cullinan read the financial report. Alpha Delta Kappa Month Chairman Shirley Washam shared plans for the monthly celebration. Member Liz Pugh read the Altruistic Report (in the absence of Margo Polk,) and she distributed a form for members to fill out current information. Under Courtesy, Ruth Fuller welcomed the members as they entered the meeting area. Fraternity Education and Scholarship committees has no report. Under New Business, President Cullinan had a zoom meeting with State President Carol Bauer, State Historian Marianne Annie, and State Membership Chairman Diane Stillwel. The meeting focused on membership within the state. Suggestions to involve members in several ways and a newsletter will be sent as a follow up. President Cullinan reminded members of the Ohio Valley District Fall Luncheon being held on October 25th, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, at Ridgecrest Road, Wheeling, WV. Registration is from 11:00-12:00, with a luncheon at 12:00. Members must RSVP by October 15th, 2025. President Cullinan led discussion on “three wreaths”. One wreath will be prepared and presented at the Ohio Valley District Luncheon on October 25th, 2025. Fidelis is hosting the Tri-Chapter Christmas Party on December 6, 2025, and two wreaths will be presented at this meeting. Tri-Chapter Christmas Party Chairman Nancy Conley assigned committees for the event. Under unfinished business, President Cullinan held a workshop on making a Christmas ornament. Hostesses for the day were Liz Pugh and Elaine McClung. The next meeting will be held November 6, 2025. Hostesses for the meeting will be Susan Cullinan, Wendy Speer, and Crystal Baranowski. President Cullinan adjourned the meeting with the singing of “The Lamp of Alpha Delta Kappa.”
