Betty Lou Moran, 93, of New Cumberland, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.Born on September 12, 1932, in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, Betty was the cherished daughter of the late Waitman and Flossie Robinson Nestor. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Earl “Junior” Moran, and her brothers, Harold, Paul, and Ross Nestor.A proud graduate of Rowlesburg High School, Betty’s life was marked by hard work and compassion. She dedicated many years to her community, working as a bank teller, restaurant cook, and home health aide. Betty’s generous spirit extended beyond her employment—she was an active volunteer with the Scouts, various local churches, and provided social work at the local soup kitchen, always lending a helping hand to those in need.Betty’s legacy lives on through her loving family: her son, Ken Moran (Jane) of Cranberry Township, PA; daughters, Charlie Ford (Rich) and Sue Swiger (Glenn), both of New Cumberland; brothers, Dennis, Harry, and Darl Nestor; sister, Maxine Nestor Smith; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Arner Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Rick Tinsky officiating. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family two hours prior to the service, from 10:00 AM to Noon.
