- Cheating must never pay. When results were not honored in Ukraine or Serbia or Brazil, people had to mass mobilize in the streets to enforce election results. We may have to do that here. That is part of the reason and tactic for not having a mass protest but rather smaller events. If there is any action to steal the election, I will be sending out a call to protest immediately. We will need the masses to overcome any efforts to sabotage our election. So, what we are asking everyone to do, is pick a corner, grab a couple friends, make a couple signs and show up at that corner between 11 AM and 1 PM on October 17th to push voting security. We need a couple signs at each location that say “PROTECT OUR VOTES” or “VOTE EARLY” and “include the dates and locations where it can be done in your location if the sign says vote early ( a lot of people probably don’t know how to vote early)” If others want to bring any other type of sign I would encourage it, but we would ask that the main push be early voting and protection. We are encouraging everyone of you to go neighbor to neighbor and tell 5 to 10 of your like minded neighbors or friends that we want to protect our votes. And encourage them to join in the activity. To that end, We want everyone to know that if their votes challenged they are able to request and cast provisional ballots. If you were purged, you are at the wrong polling place or any other challenge when you show up to vote, Immediately ask for a provisional ballot. In the weeks before the election, people should check their registration regularly at www.vote411.org/check-registration if you live in OH or PA. The link to WV does not work so WV voters will have to go to https://ovr.sos.wv.gov/Register/LandingWV and Ohio both allow State registration 16-30 days prior to Election Day, PA State registration deadline is 1-15 days prior to Election Day and both OH and WV purge voters based on inactivity in voting, PA does not. So if you haven’t voted recently or missed a vote it’s best to check. You or your friends may want to go to www.mapresearch.org/democracy-map/voter-identification-requirements-for-in-person-voting) to find out information about their state’s voting policies. The map shows that in WV, we have Non-strict, photo ID (ID requested, but voter can cast regular ballot without) It may be provisional ballot but that is fineIn Ohio, they have a Strict photo ID policy (ID required, voter cannot cast regular ballot without)In PA, No ID is required, but voter eligibility is verified through other meansFor Early voting in Ohio you must go to the Board of Elections in your county from October 5th but not sure if it ends before election day November 3rd. In WV early voting starts October 21st and end October 31st at the county courthouse. In Pa, the website is unclear as to when early voting starts what constitutes early voting and where early voting can be done, although it appears you can go to the Board of elections or a satellite location ask for a ballot and fill it out and turn the ballot in right then. However, I am not sure, so best to check with the Board of elections office. This website has some needed information: https://www.alleghenycounty.us/Government/Elections/Ballot-Return-SitesAlthough this is not a mass protest, please help us get the word out in your community to protect our votes and voting.Let me know what corner you’re picking and in what community by emailing me at [email protected]. Let me know and Let’s show the nay sayers that we are serious about protecting our votes.Tim
