Donald R. Mack, 64 of East Liverpool and formerly of New Cumberland, passed at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
Born in New Cumberland on October 29, 1955, he was a son of the late James G. Mack Sr. and Jennie Whittaker Mack.
Don retired from the Homer Laughlin China Company in Newell, and he was a 1974 graduate of Oak Glen high School. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1974 to 1976. An avid Steelers fan, Don loved to hunt, shoot pool, and play darts. An Eagle Scout with New Cumberland’s Troop 60, he was also a former member of the New Cumberland Fire Dept.
Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Jack, James G. Mack Jr., Alice Call, Shirley Hitchins, Tom Mack, Fred Mack, and Bertha Mack.
He leaves his loving companion of several years, Karen Vogt of East Liverpool; two brothers, Harry, and Ronald Mack of Weirton; and he will be forever missed by his cousin who was more like a brother, Chuck Hamilton.
No services have been planned and the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester has been entrusted with Don’s arrangements.
