The “Community Christmas Card,” sponsored by the GFWC Woman’s Club of New Cumberland for the benefit of Children’s Hospital will not be a club project this year. The Club has dissolved due to lack of new members and the few remaining members being unable to continue the projects with the Club’s diminishing numbers.
The remaining members of the Club wish to thank the citizens of New Cumberland for their support during the Club’s 80 plus years of community service. A thank you also goes out to The Hancock County Courier and Hometown News for their part in providing space in their newspapers free of charge for the Christmas Card allowing the project to be carried on for many years.
Many who have donated by check in the past will probably be receiving notification that donations are now being accepted. Whether or not to donate will be a decision of the individual.
