Chester Hometown Christmas

CHESTER’S HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS – SATURDAY, DEC 5 – While the Chester Christmas Parade has been cancelled, the Hometown Christmas activities will take place on Carolina Avenue. The theme of this year’s celebration is based on the Grinch movie with the theme being “Can’t Steal Our Christmas” and the Grinch himself is slated to make an appearance in the Gazebo area along with Santa Claus who despite COVID still is planning his Christmas Eve delivery. A mailbox for those wishing to mail Santa a letter is set up on Carolina Avenue.
An open air vendor market will take place along Carolina Avenue and Fourth Street. Interested vendors should contact Kristi at330-383-3940. A $10 entrance fee will be donated to FISH. Windows along the way have been decorated with the winner of the window decorating contest announced Dec. 2.
Organizers of the event stress that everyone attending will be required to observe all COVID rules and regulations.
