The Board of Directors of CHANGE, Inc. a non-profit Community Action Agency, has announced they are starting the search for the position of CEO to replace Judy Raveaux who will be retiring in July of 2021. Lisa Werner, Board President stated that under Judy Raveaux’s leadership, CHANGE, Inc. has been able to identify ever-changing community needs and adopt diverse programming to meet those challenges. Judy is an expert in her field and her passion and commitment to the communities served by CHANGE, Inc. is evident in her commendable leadership throughout the years. Mrs. Raveaux has been with the agency since early 1983, and assumed the role of CEO in 1990.
CHANGE, Inc. formed in 1982 as a direct result of National Steel Corporation’s announcement that they are closing their Weirton Steel facility. Overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, CHANGE, Inc. is a grassroots agency and develops programs based on the needs of the communities served. CHANGE, Inc. provides a variety of services such as Weatherization, Nutritious Meals, Housing, Housing Rehab/Rental, Financial Counseling, 340B Pharmacy, Federally Qualified Health Care Center, Transportation, Veterans, Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Centers, Right from the Start and various outreach and advocacy services. Mrs. Raveaux stated that the agency’s footprint is serving the Northern Panhandle of WV, and surrounding counties of OH and PA. For 2019, the agency provided over 62,000 individuals for 2019. Mrs. Werner stated that CHANGE, Inc. has been nationally and state recognized for the work we do, and is seeking an experienced, driven individual who will continue our forward momentum and exemplify the highest standards of leadership.
