Ralph C. Goldsmith III, 68 of East Liverpool slipped away peacefully while in the loving care of his family at his home on Saturday, January 2, 2021, following a lengthy illness.
Ralph was a son of the late Ralph C. Goldsmith Jr. and Hilda M. Hayes Goldsmith. He was born in East Liverpool on May 16, 1952.
Ralph worked hard to support his family for 45 years at the Homer Laughlin China Company, retiring as a Hollow Ware Caster. He was a member of the GMPPAW International Union. Ralph was an active and loyal member of the East Liverpool Church of God, and he graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1972.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne McDade, and his sisters, Sandy Thomas, and Crystal Julian.
On May 19, 1973, Ralph married the love of his life, Dela Adkins, and together they shared 47 wonderful years. They are the proud parents of one daughter, Rev. Becky Tice, and her husband, Edward of East Liverpool. Also, he is survived by two grandchildren, Breanna, and Daniel Tice, and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor James Massie and Ralph’s daughter, Rev. Becky Tice will celebrate his life at the Church of God on Wednesday, January 6, at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be on Thursday at the Riverview Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church on Wednesday two hours prior to the service, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. These arrangements are in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
