Glenda Rae Bennett, 74, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away December 30, 2020.
Born on February 17, 1946 in Steubenville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Dale and Dolly (Price) Orr.
Glenda graduated in 1965 from Weir High School and West Liberty College in 1969 and she received her teaching degree and taught school in the states of California and Texas.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline Clutter, Arlene Crim, Freda Wade and Sue Hamill; and by her brother, Denzil Orr.
Surviving are her son, Christopher Bennett of Texas; two brothers, Thomas Orr of Burgettstown and Jerry Orr of New Manchester; many nieces and nephews and also by her canine Labrador retriever.
Glenda’s great nephew, Jamie Helmick will conduct a private funeral service, at The Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, WV.
