CHANGE, Inc. cancels its annual St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser

CHANGE, Inc. has made the difficult decision to cancel its annual St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser. The fundraiser is typically held the Friday before St. Patrick’s Day each year.
The fundraiser’s purpose is to raise money and awareness for the organizations programs, including transportation services, weatherization assistance, housing counseling, veteran services, transitional housing and domestic violence shelter, the Comfort House child advocacy center and many more.
Since the inception of this event, the communities’ generosity has successfully raised funding for these programs each year.
CHANGE, Inc. is asking for the community to continue with this pattern of generosity and to once again make donations towards these extremely valuable programs.
Due to the ongoing restrictions related to the pandemic, the fundraiser for 2021 is cancelled. All efforts will be made by the organization to ensure that the event is back and better than ever on March 11th, 2022.
CHANGE, Inc. CEO Judy Raveaux said, “The St. Paddy’s Fest is our annual fundraiser and due to COVID we need to cancel now for the second year in a row. The Board of Directors and staff are looking forward to bringing the event back in 2022 and want to thank the many businesses and the community for their continued support of our programs and activities. Our staff is on the front lines with the COVID testing and is working closely with the County Task Force to get the vaccines into the arms of our residents. Stay healthy, stay safe and mask up!”
