The third and final reading of an ordinance authorizing up to $800,000.00 to finance the cost of improvements and additions to the water system was passed by Chester City Council at Monday’s meeting.  Also approved was a resolution providing parameters as to the principal amount, date, maturity date, interest rate, interest and principal payment rates and other terms for the combined updates and additions to the  combined waterworks and systems bonds.
         Council discussed paving roads within the community.  Approval was given to the payment of a bill to Lewis Brisbois & Smith.
