Reading Nook by Kirsten Pierce

Swaney Memorial Library is open its regular business hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. We will close at noon on Friday, March 12th and open at noon on Tuesday, March 23rd and Thursday, March 25th.
Spring story hour for children 5 years old and younger has begun. We meet at 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday until May 19th. In each of our sessions, kids will learn a letter of the alphabet and hear stories about an animal whose name begins with that letter. They will also learn to sign that letter and the animal in sign language. This is also a great way for children to learn, socialize, and sharpen their early literacy skills. There is a one-time fee of $5 to help with the cost of craft supplies. Please call 304-564-3471 to register.
We are so happy to announce that we will be holding our annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at 9 a.m. at the New Cumberland VFW this year. Join us for a delicious breakfast prepared by the VFW and stick around for stories, pictures with the Easter Bunny himself, and an egg hunt in the city park. Please bring a bag or basket to collect your eggs. The breakfast is $3 for all you can eat pancakes, eggs, bacon, juice, milk, and coffee.
We would like to send a big thank you to The Church of the Nazarene for taking the time to generously fix our front door. It no longer sticks! We are lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community.
Swaney Memorial Library has tax forms and instructions for both federal and state taxes. We also offer copying, scanning, faxing, and notary services.
