Jim and Debbie (Shroades) Durham of Chester are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married April 3, 1971 at the United Methodist Church of Chester by the Rev. Randall Prince.
The couple have two children: Brooke (Nick) Ripple of Nashport, OH and Ian (Sarah) Durham of Coraopolis, PA. There are three grandchildren: Ava and Kyla Ripple and Calder Durham. The fourth Durham grandchild is expected in August.
Jim was employed by the Quaker State/Shell Plant in Newell for 40 years before retiring in 2012. Debbie was an independent contractor with Home Interiors and Gifts for 30 years and then was employed by Hancock County Schools as a classroom aide for 7 years prior to retiring in 2015.
The couple enjoys being with family and friends and also loves to travel together.
