Celebrating 100 years

Celebrating 100 years – A member of the “Greatest Generation” …Harold Snider was honored on his 100th birthday with a drive-by birthday party in which the Hancock County Commissioners Eron Chek, Jeff Davis and Paul Cowey participated. The Commission also presented Snider with a resolution recognizing that he had been “a force for good during a most turbulent century.” Born in Reader, WV in 1921, Snider moved to Hancock County in 1949. He and his wife, Dorothy, were married for 72 years and were the parents of two sons, Don and Frank, and had three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. A World War II veteran, Snider was employed at Weirton Steel for 32 years. Happy Birthday, Harold.
