William Littell

William “Bill” Littell, 92, of New Cumberland, surrounded by his family he went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2021.
Born on August 2, 1928 in Bear Run, WV, he was the son of late Albert and Iva (Sapp) Littell.
Bill worked 32years for National and Weirton Steel .He taught at the trade Center for Weirton Steel 12years.
Bill was a Cub Master Pack 67 for 30 years .He also assisted Scoutmaster Troop 67 for 10 years.
Mr. Littell was awarded Jan 2021, Faithfull Servant Award, the highest religious award for adults in scouting.
He belonged to New Cumberland Blue Lodge #22, Wheeling # 1 Chapter, Wheeling # 1 Commandery , Wheeling Scottish Rite, and formerly New Cumberland # 14 Chapter, Weirton # 30 Commandery, past High Priest New Cumberland # 14, past Commander – Weirton # 30 Commandery.
His greatest service to the New Cumberland Christian Church, served as deacon-at time of his death, he was Elder and Chairman of the Board, Sunday school teacher, helped with Celebrate Recovery. He held various committee positions over the last 60 plus years.
If the doors were open he was there.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, A. Eleanor Littell, Aug 24, 2001; a great-grandson; his brothers, John, Frank and Chuck.
Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Duska and Ron White of Endicott and Marsha and Jim Ford of New Cumberland; six grandchildren; Ronnie (Amy White) ,Ronda (Steve) VanMeter, Tonya (Tim) Evans, Jimmy Ford, Dawn Ford and Jennifer (Chris) Enochs; 19 great grandchildren and 10 great- great grandchildren; five sisters, Ellen Burch ,Betty Burch and Angie Riter all of New Cumberland, Glenna Howell of North Carolina and Erma Stoneking of Calif; three brothers, Jeff Littell of Warren, Marvin Littell and Jack (Joyce) Littell of Warren; two sisters-in-law, Betty Littell of Warren and Rose Littell of New Manchester.
