Dorothy M. Ober, 96 of Chester passed peacefully at the East Liverpool City Hospital on Wednesday, September 8, 2011.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA., on January 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Catherine Dohn Trischler.

Dorothy retired as the House Keeping Supervisor at Mountaineer Gaming Resort, and earlier she was the domestic supervisor for Glass Janitorial at the Chester First National Bank. She was raised in the Catholic faith and remained devoted to the teachings of the church.

Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death her husband, Walter F. Ober Sr., her son Rick Ober, as well as two brothers, and three sisters.

Surviving is her children, Walter Ober Jr. of Texas, Robert (Debbie) Ober of Beaver, PA., Gary (Heidi) Ober Chester, and Linda (Richard) Shoff of Aliquippa, PA. Her surviving grandchildren include Julie Chevalier, Greg Ober, Michael Shoff, Katie Newara, Chris Ober, Jeremy Ober, and Josh Ober. Also, there are six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Father John Neiman will provide private Catholic Funeral Rites at the Arner Funeral Chapel followed by interment at the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery in Georgetown.
