A reception honoring middle school artists from Brooke and Hancock Counties was held October 20 at the Top of WV Summit Art Gallery.    A permanent display at Summit will showcase the talents of the budding artists with featured artists being changed every two months.  Teachers from Brooke Middle (Linsey Ziegler), Oak Glen Middle (Ron Anderson), St Paul (Cathy Bartoletti),  St. Joseph (Kelsey Cole), and Weir Middle (Brianne Underwood) were asked to select one student from each grade (5 to 8) to be featured in the Summit Gallery for this show.

      Those students selected received Art Achievement Awards and will be featured at the Gallery until January.  The schools and students include: Brooke Middle – Madilynn Bowman, Anna Konkel, Riley Paranay, Anneliese Schupback; Oak Glen Middle – Roxye Brown, Aydrina May, Sarah Robinson, Gracie Walker; St. Paul – Megan Brinkley, Brooke Kraina, Lexi Miller, Addy Welsh; St. Joseph – Luca DiBacco, Anthony Capito, Lauren Nagy; Weir Middle – Aryanna Acosta, Alayna Bennett, Emily Newbrough, Nicolas Potock.
