Carol L. Nuzum, seventy-four of New Cumberland passed at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville on Friday, November 5, 2021.

Born on April 11, 1947, in Glendale, WV., Carol spent her childhood in the Moundsville area.

She relocated with her parents, the late John, and Lucille Bailey Clayton, to the Newell, New Cumberland area before graduating from Oak Glen High School in 1965, and then the Ohio Valley Business College. Carol worked several years in area businesses performing many office duties, and she was an animal lover of many pets over the years. A true disciple of Christ, she was a member of the New Cumberland Church of Christ.

Along with her parents, Carol’s husband of 20 years, Glenn D. Cordray, and her husband of 18 years, John R. Nuzum preceded her in death.

She leaves her sister, Michelle Porter, nephew, Jacob (Jill Zuch) Porter, niece, Lacie Porter, great -nephew, Owen Porter, step-grandson, Brian Javins, and her special friend who went through many of life’s difficulties with Carol, Renee Cunningham.

Carol’s family will celebrate her life at the Arner Funeral Chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
