Gary Mackey, 78, of Newell, passed away October 25, 2021.

He was born February 20, 1943 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of the late Thomas and Ruth (Price) Mackey.

Gary was the former Director of mutuals at Mountaineer Race Track. He was a member of Jaycees and Life member of DeMolay

Surviving are his two son, David Mackey (Jo Anne Green of East Liverpool and Michael (Anita) Mackey of East Liverpool; three grandchildren, Kyle (Skylar), Gage and Ethan; one great- grandson, Keeghan; and a brother, Thomas, (Barbara) Mackey of Lisbon.

Private arrangements were handled by the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV.
