Connor Richards Lions Scholar

Connor Richards, 18, has been recognized as Oak Glen High School’s Lions Scholar of the Month for October 2021. He is the son of Toby and Stephanie Richards of Newell, and he has one sister, Camryn.

Connor has been a member of the National Honor Society his junior and senior year. Throughout high school he has been on the Principal’s Honor Roll all 4 years. He currently holds a GPA of 4.2. During his senior year he is taking all college courses through West Virginia Northern Community College. He is a member of the Key Club and is the Co-Founder and leader of the Sports Management Club.

 He is the statistician for boys’ soccer, basketball, and baseball and for girls’ volleyball, basketball, and softball teams. He received a 1-year letterman in soccer during his senior year for being a statistician.

Connor enjoys spending time with his family, friends, watching sporting events on TV, and going to Cleveland Cavalier games.

Following graduation, Connor has been accepted to West Virginia University where he plans to major in Sports and Adventure Media.
