The New Cumberland Garden Club has chosen its last “yard of the month” for 2021.  The award for October goes to Shirley Joy of Commerce Street.  Shirley’s small yard is filled with color all season long, from the annuals along her front porch to the plantings around her trees and shrubs.  To celebrate the harvest season, she has added pumpkins and other pieces of fall décor.  For her efforts, Mrs. Joy was presented with a certificate, a $50 check, and a yard sign designating her yard as the winner for October.  Congratulations again to the five winning yards for 2021.  The garden club plans to continue the program next year, with winners being announced each month, June through October.  The “Yard of the Month” program is a joint effort between the city of New Cumberland and the New Cumberland Garden Club.
